Our Place in the Community

Owner Wayne Thackery, having lived and worked in Keizer all of his life (except for a stint in the military), has made it a priority to participate in and give back to his community. He supports many local organizations, personally and through his business. Recognized as Keizer’s First Citizen and Merchant of the Year, he has also received Rotary’s Paul Harris Fellowship award, Rotary Vocational award, and the Keizer Chamber’s President’s award.
Countless youth have proudly worn Loren’s Sanitation’s jerseys playing baseball, softball and soccer on local sports league teams that the company has sponsored. Every year since 1994, the company has awarded a $1,000 environmental scholarship to a graduating McNary High School senior. Loren’s is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Keizer Iris Festival. These are just a few of the ways the company continually gives back to the community it serves.
